• Local App Data: All your projects, drawings, and metadata are saved locally on your device. We do not store or transmit your projects to our servers.
• Website & Beta Testing Data: If you sign up for closed beta testing via our website, we collect your email address. This data is securely processed by our email service provider (MailerLite) strictly for the purpose of communicating beta tests and app updates.
• Automatically Collected Data: Our app's ad partner (Google AdMob) may collect certain information automatically, including IP address, device ID, advertising IDs, and usage statistics to provide relevant advertisements.

4. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING (GDPR)

We process your personal data based on the following legal grounds:

• Consent: For beta testing email collection and personalized advertising.
• Legitimate Interest: For providing core app functionality and improving our services.

5. DATA RETENTION

• Beta testing email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or until the beta testing program ends, whichever comes first.
• Advertising-related data collected by Google AdMob is managed and retained by Google in accordance with their own privacy policy and data retention practices.
• Local app data (your projects) is stored on your device and retained until you delete it.

6. DEVICE PERMISSIONS

To function properly, the app requests the following device permissions:

• Storage / Photos / Media: Required to import background images, open project files (.sgo), and to save/export your projects as PDF, PNG, MP4, or native .sgo files directly to your device storage.

7. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES (ADS)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may use device identifiers and cookies to serve personalized ads.

We also use MailerLite for processing beta testing email communications.

• EU Users (GDPR): You will be asked for explicit consent to receive personalized ads via a consent form. You can withdraw this consent at any time.
• US Users (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information used for targeted advertising.

8. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your data may be transferred to and processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States, by our third-party service providers (Google, MailerLite). These providers implement appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY (COPPA)

Our application is not explicitly directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Depending on your jurisdiction, applicable data protection laws (including but not limited to the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, PIPA, APPI, PDPL, and other local regulations) may grant you rights regarding your personal data, such as the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, or request portability of your data.

• App Data: Since your project files (storyboards) are stored locally on your device, you have full control over them and can delete them directly within the app.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By downloading or using the Storyboard GO application, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use the application.

2. USE OF THE APP

Storyboard GO is a mobile application tool for creating storyboards and animatics.

• You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes.
• You are solely responsible for any content, images, scenarios, or stories you create, import, or export using the app.

3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & USER CONTENT

• Your Content: We do not claim any ownership rights over the storyboards, drawings, narratives, texts, or project files (including .sgo files) you create. You retain all copyright, title, and interest to your original creations made using Storyboard GO.
• App Content: All interface elements, logos, icons, algorithms, and the underlying codebase of Storyboard GO are our exclusive property and are protected by international copyright laws.
• Watermarks: The application may append a promotional watermark to your exported files. This watermark is part of the App Content and is applied solely as a branding overlay. Its presence does not transfer any ownership rights of your original creations to us.
• Website Resources: Any sample project files (.sgo), animatics, or multimedia content provided for download on our website are provided solely for educational and demonstration purposes. You do not acquire any copyright to these files. You may not resell, redistribute, or use the artwork contained within them for commercial purposes.

4. ADVERTISEMENTS AND APP LIMITS

• The app may be supported by advertising.
• You may be required to watch an advertisement to unlock certain features within the app (e.g., to create additional projects, add more panels, use more layers, or export your work in various formats including PDF, PNG, MP4, and SGO).

5. AVAILABILITY

Storyboard GO is available in select countries and regions. We do not guarantee availability, full functionality, or localized support in all jurisdictions.

6. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

Storyboard GO is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, bug-free, or completely secure. We are not responsible for the loss of your unexported, cached, or locally saved data. Please backup your exported files regularly.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer of Storyboard GO be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the app (including, but not limited to, lost profits, project deadlines missed, data loss, or device damage).

8. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Your continued use of the app after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

9. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Poland. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Poland.
